This website is to act as a portfolio for my work and my ideas. My work and Architectural Ideology is still developing. I am currently working at Hunter Roberts Homes as a CAD Drafter working on 10 million dollar homes. Feel free to check out the work we do (Home – Hunter Roberts). It is a unique position where I help coordinate with the trade’s extra details that come from changes or situations brought about in the field, drawing the future plumbing fixtures, tile details, updating the plans with cabinets from suppliers, trim details, as well as other miscellaneous tasks through CAD that help the project managers, site managers, and trades resolve questions. This gives our clients the unique opportunity to see what the room will look like prior to installation as well as any information the trades will need in order to build it correctly and provide accurate quotes. This also helps our team avoid many issues that need to be resolved early in the project.
Prior to my time at Hunter Roberts, I worked at TK Design as a Senior Project Manager/Structural Assistant. Feel free to check out their work (TK Design’s website: https://tkhomedesign.com/). Here I learned a lot from a team of leading experts in one of the largest (if not the largest) residential only architecture firms in the state of Michigan. Here I gained experience in remodels, production homes, and custom homes. Everything from elevation design, code research, construction documentation and even designing the structure of those homes. They are an amazing team with many talented individuals, and I would highly recommend people check out this award-winning firm.
I have a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy and am pursuing my license. I feel strong inclinations that the world needs more Individual and Family based design. I feel that in this growing Society of Commodity and Classification that the Individual and Family can be overlooked. I hope to inspire and change the way people look at this through Design.
