Advanced Fabrication Studio – Impossible Chair

This class was about learning how to design and use the fabrication process. The capstone project was a Chair project. The images pictured below are the chair however there were other smaller projects that were made throughout the class. The chair concept came from an Impossible chair (tensegrity) and a gaming chair. The upper framing of the chair is Spanish Ceder. The lower base is 16 gage 1″ x 3″ steel tubing and half inch steel rod. The cable is 3/16″ stainless steel.
